🌪️ What is culture?

Culture is a set of shared beliefs, valued behaviours and practices in our organisation. It’s a blueprint for what is deemed as the right way to act at Famly - even when nobody's watching.

At Famly, you’re measured by metrics and these valued behaviours. Our culture, in turn, is driven by these same valued behaviours, and the beliefs written here, which should describe and inform how we operate. Together, they should build a culture that makes us resilient to change, and more likely to achieve our vision of providing a better start to life for millions more children.

🤔 Why is culture important?

People are truly the foundation of everything we do at Famly. It may sound corny, but it’s true.

Every single output or activity in the company is a result of our people choosing to do things. To attract, develop and retain the right people at Famly, this culture is critical - without it we won’t build a company capable of changing the world and provide a better start for every child.

The Famly Culture document is a living and breathing document that we fine tune along our long journey. Our valued behaviours and beliefs are a mix of what we already do and what we aspire to do better. Whether written down or not, every company has a culture, we have just decided to be explicit about the culture we want at Famly, so that potential and existing colleagues can decide whether Famly is for them or not. Famly will not be for everyone and that’s okay. We want a culture that we love, that helps us grow as individuals, and that makes Famly successful and impactful.
